The AmLT Youth Theatre Program cultivates a future generation of theatre audience. Having developed a slate of “Twisted Fairy Tales,” an interactive retelling of old classics, AmLT presents an engaging introduction to the world of theatre for young audiences. In the last decade’s multiple budget cuts, the most effective curriculum has been in arts education. The AmLT Youth Theatre Program reaches into underserved communities to bring arts education through entertainment.
High school students benefit from special daytime performances of our season productions. All productions include companion material for an in-class follow up and discussion . The AmLT identifies, targets, and contacts schools in the lower-income areas of Los Angeles that show the greatest need for Arts Education.
